Jerome Boryca
Director

Jerry Boryca has more than 35 years of development and design experience in a variety of cultural and corporate projects, with participation in the initial concept through design development, interior design, construction, and fit-out. He has extensive experience in project programming and program implementation, as well as in master planning, space planning, workplace design, laboratory design, museum planning and design, and adaptive reuse. Jerry has a Master of Architecture from University of Illinois. He is licensed to practice architecture in Connecticut, New York and California.

Dale Gast

With for over thirty years of professional experience with Roche Dinkeloo, Dale has provided technical expertise on the production of contract documents and contract administration of projects. Building types include museums, cultural facilities, corporate headquarters and office buildings. He has a bachelor of Environmental Design from Miami University. He is a LEED Accredited Professional and a registered architect in Colorado and Connecticut.

Marilyn Gillion

As Director of Visualization, Marilyn is an integral part of the design process working directly with Mr. Roche on all phases of design utilizing the 3D visualization program she initiated and developed for Roche Dinkeloo. With duel degrees in Architecture and Fine Arts from Rhode Island School of Design, Marilyn utilizes her design talent to develop and refine the project design from initial concepts, program development, through the complexities of curtain wall design, and the intricacies of final detailing. As a LEED Green Associate, Marilyn contributed to the development of a wide range of projects including museums, cultural facilities, and office buildings.

Will Kavanagh

Will Kavanagh
Fabrication Technologist

Will has had an active life sampling everything the world of work has to offer. His father worked alongside Kevin Roche for 35 years and instilled an instinctual understanding of function and design. He is an FAA Certified UAS (Unmanned Aircraft Systems) Pilot, co-founder of a small media group (Doom Buggy), and has a deep love for making things work.
Will has always had a fascination with light and its effects on the material world, this fascination first manifested itself with photography and later to video and drone cinematography. Finally moving into the fabrication of unique light fixtures and architectural light simulations with Roche Modern in the RM Works division.
Using the downtime of Covid-19 and working out of his basement in Newport, RI. Will dove into additive manufacturing and CAD. Since coming to Roche Modern in June of 2021, he has built out our new Fabrication Studio. His responsibilities include but are not limited to: helping the RM Works team turn designs into reality, producing any physical models used with our architecture clients, and capturing all of this using his media background.

Garry Leonard

Garry Leonard
Architect

Garry Leonard received his Bachelor and Masters of Architecture from the University Of Illinois. Mr. Leonard has over 40 years of experience with commercial, educational and corporate work. He specializes in cultural, academic, and arts facilities, many of which involved adaptive reuse, historic preservation, and restoration. Garry's projects include the 2000 Master Plan and many of the galleries at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the American Museum of Natural History, and the Jewish Museum in New York City. As design principal, Mr. Leonard is responsible for providing leadership and input to the programming, planning, design, design development, and interior design project phases of projects.

David McGann

David McGann
Chief Financial Officer

With over 30 years of finance experience, David joined the firm in 2018 as Chief Financial Officer. As an investment banker, he developed expertise in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and structured finance. David focused on financing commercial and residential real estate as well as renewable energy projects over the last ten years. David’s tenure in investment banking was with leading New York-based investment banking securities firms where he managed more than 200 advisory assignments and closed approximately 300 transactions. David received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Amherst College, completed a year abroad at Wadham College, Oxford University and graduated from Philips Academy.

Morgan McGann

Morgan McGann
Technical Officer

Morgan joined the firm in 2018 bringing a lifelong passion for computers and technology as well as experience with Additive Manufacturing technologies. In 2019, Morgan oversaw the migration of the firm’s computer infrastructure from its pervious location in Hamden, CT to its new offices in New Haven. Morgan’s responsibilities include systems administration and general support. Morgan is completing their degree in Sexuality, Women’s, and Gender Studies at Amherst College.

Steve Metzger

Since joining Kevin Roche John Dinkeloo and Associates in 1971, Steve has had the opportunity to work on a wide variety of Roche Dinkeloo and Roche Modern projects. He has been involved in all aspects of the projects, from design and development to production and construction administration. Steve has successfully navigated numerous projects through complex municipal processes and regulatory agencies. Projects have included corporate headquarters, NY City office and museum projects, successful international competitions for Kuala Lumpur Menara Maxis and Dublin Conference Centre, and multiple Washington D.C. office buildings. He has a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Illinois and is a registered architect in the state of Connecticut. When not at his desk, Steve can be found in his garden.

Eric Miller

Eric Miller
Marketing Officer

Eric joins Roche Modern after his tenure as CMO at The I. Grace Company, a custom residential builder catering to the Ultra High Net Worth sector, working within the nexus between architecture, interior/landscape design, construction, developers, owner’s reps, and other players in the private and public sectors. Eric has spent his career focusing on communications and marketing both in-house and at agencies including FTI International and Weber Shandwick where he developed and implemented award winning marketing programs for clients such as The Ford Foundation, Piper Rudnick and other real estate-focused law firms, J.P. Morgan Private Bank, private and publicly traded REITs such as Related and Equity Residential and The Gamble House/USC School of architecture. An expert in special situations communications, Eric represented American Airlines during 9/11 and rig owners Transocean during the BP oil spill.

Eric attended the University of Southern California, where he is an adjunct professor at USC’s Annenberg School of Communications, St. Lawrence University, where he received a BA in English Literature and the University of London. Eric divides his time between New York and Los Angeles.

Talia Morison-Allen

Talia Morison-Allen
Architectural Designer

Talia is just beginning her career in architecture with a passion for innovative design and a desire to learn everything that she can as she enters the field. She recently graduated from Yale University with a Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Design, receiving Distinction in the Major. While at Yale, she gained experience in set design with Yale's Dramatic Association and in residential and interior architecture through internships. She is also fluent in French and was awarded a Certificate of Advanced Language Study in French upon graduation. She is excited to join Roche Modern as an architectural designer and learn from her creative and experienced coworkers who have established a legacy of inspiring architecture.

William Morris

After a year with the architecture firm of Walk Jones & Francis Mah in Memphis, Tennessee, William joined the design staff at Kevin Roche John Dinkeloo and Associates where he spent the next four decades working on too many jobs to list, both domestic and international, including museums, corporate headquarter, office towers, residential work, civic, cultural and industrial buildings, as well as interiors and furniture design.

He received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville School of Architecture, graduating first in his class with Highest Honors. He is a registered architect in the state of Connecticut.

Eamon Roche

Managing Director

Eamon Roche joined Roche Dinkeloo in 2018 initially as an advisor to his father, Kevin Roche, the firm's founder. Eamon soon assumed the role of Managing Director taking over all business aspects of the firm's existing contracts as well as developing new projects to take the firm into the future. Following the death of Kevn Roche, Eamon oversaw the firm's relocation to New Haven where the firm is once again expanding and has engaged with new projects in New York City, Washington DC, Ontario and New Haven.

With a thirty year background as a principal in several construction and development businesses in New York City, as well as being the designer, owner and operator of five different restaurant concepts in New York and Connecticut, Eamon is pleased that his entrepreneurship and decades of experience in the field has found a new home with this firm. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University.

Linda Scinto

Linda Scinto

Linda Scinto has been an interior designer at the office of Kevin Roche John Dinkeloo and Associates since 1997 as well as being Mr. Roche’s executive assistant for eight years and is currently archiving his papers and drawings for transfer to Yale University’s Manuscripts and Archives Library. She has lectured in Textiles in the Interior Design Department at Paier College of Art since 2013. Prior to teaching at Paier, she taught History of Architecture and Interiors at the University of New Haven for four years and while there led a two-week study abroad course in Italy, visiting Rome, Florence and Pompeii. She has a B.F.A., in Interior Design, from Paier College of Art and is NCIDQ certified. As a professional member of ASID, she was involved with the Connecticut Chapter for many years, serving on the board in several positions including president. Awards include ASID Presidential Citation in 1990 and 1997 and one for Chapter Service in 2002. Linda has a love for books, mid-century design, and 1960s muscle cars and has been seen at the track on occasion, racing her vintage car.

Kimm Warren has over 40 years of architectural experience based on a commitment to design excellence and built upon collaborative team efforts seeking cutting edge solutions to complex issues of delivering sustainable contemporary architecture. Since joining Kevin Roche and John Dinkeloo Associates in 1970 his work encompassed a wide range of building types, including, institutional, office, educational, residential, and civic. His special interest in façade design and technology has been instrumental in the development of breakthrough technologies for many award winning projects. He continues to contribute in his current role as mentor and advisor.

Shamila Zubairi

Shamila Zubairi, AIA
Architect

Shamila Zubairi is an architect, wanderer and ponderer. Kevin Roche John Dinkeloo and Associates was the place where she started her career and worked there as an intern for 2 years. Since then, in over two decades of working and learning, she has touched every aspect of practice but her real passion lies in exploration of 3D modeling, BIM, VR & AR. In 2019 she joined Roche Modern after a brief hiatus of 18 years because she wanted to be in innovation, again.

Shamila received her B.Arch from Indus Valley School of Art & Architecture, Karachi and is registered to practice in Pakistan and United States. She lives in Wallingford, CT with her husband, AR models and backyard squirrels.

Khanlar Gasimov

Khanlar Gasimov
Museum and Collections

Khanlar Gasimov is part of the Roche Modern team focusing on museum projects and exhibition and media desgin. Classically trained as a sculptor, he has over 25 years of experience in the world of art and culture with visionary projects that have left an indelible mark on cultural institutions and museums across the USA and Europe.

In the US, his notable achievements include the successful completion of the National Park project, where he created a permanent sculpture installation for Rockefeller Park in Cleveland, Ohio. He also played a pivotal role in sculpting 111 life-sized Native American figures for the permanent exhibition at the Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center in Connecticut, as well as contributing to the expansion of Madame Tussauds Museums in New York, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles.

Internationally as an artist he has shown at Venice Biennale in Italy and other international festivals.

His dedication to sustainable design and artistic innovation makes Khanlar Gasimov an invaluable addition to our architectural firm, where his vision and expertise has found a home carrying the firm's cultural work into the future.
